A huge thank you for choosing this plan! You're officially part of the family, and we're just a shout away if any pesky issues arise. Wondering about the details? They’re all laid out on the page. And don't forget, our team of experts is on standby, ready to swoop in and lend a hand whenever you need!
We have established these Terms and Conditions to ensure a clear, fair, and positive experience for everyone involved. They are designed not only to protect our rights and responsibilities but, equally importantly, to safeguard your interests as well. By setting out transparent guidelines, we aim to build trust, prevent misunderstandings, and create a secure working environment where both you and we can confidently engage and benefit from our working relationship. If anything in these Terms and Conditions doesn't feel quite right or raises questions for you, please don't hesitate to give us a call—we're happy to talk it through and clarify anything you'd like.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Wire Wizards Net, including but not limited to installation, repair, and reactive support for CCTV systems, WiFi networks, network cabling, fibre optics, telecoms, and Starlink setups. Our services are primarily reactive, meaning we respond to reported issues or requests rather than providing ongoing proactive monitoring or maintenance unless specifically agreed upon in a service plan. Acceptance of any quotation, order, or instruction to proceed with work constitutes your agreement to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Definitions
"We," "Us," or "Wire Wizards" refers to Wire Wizards Net, operating from West Sussex, UK.
"You" or "Client" refers to the individual or entity engaging our services.
"Services" means the reactive installation, repair, or support work as described in the quotation or agreement.
"Equipment" includes all hardware, cabling, and materials supplied by us.
"OSPC" means Off-Service Plan Charge, applicable to any support or call-outs without an active service plan.
"Contract" refers to the agreement formed by your acceptance of our quotation and these Terms.
2. Quotations and Acceptance
Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date issued unless otherwise stated. Acceptance of a quotation or instruction to proceed (verbal or written) forms a binding contract subject to these Terms. We reserve the right to revise quotations if additional work is required due to unforeseen circumstances discovered during the job. All electrical and installation work complies with BS 7671:2018 (IET Wiring Regulations) and relevant UK Building Regulations in force at the time of works.
3. Payment Terms
Payment can be made via Bank Transfer, PayPal, or other options upon request. A deposit (typically 50% for equipment orders) is required to secure orders and commence procurement, as we do not hold stock and items are ordered or manufactured specifically for you. The balance is due upon completion of work or as specified in the invoice. Invoices must be paid within 7 days unless otherwise agreed. Late payments incur a fee of 5% per month or part thereof. Payment is not dependent on third-party services (e.g., internet installation). Day work rates: Labour at RICS/ECA prime cost + 60%, materials at cost + 25%, unless otherwise advised.
4. Title Retention and Ownership
Title to all Equipment remains with Wire Wizards until full payment of all invoices (including deposits, balances, and additional charges). Non-payment grants us the right to access the premises and remove the Equipment at your expense. You must provide timely access for removal.
5. Additional Work and Variations
Any work beyond the original scope (e.g., due to site conditions or client requests) will be charged extra for parts, labour, and time. We will notify you in writing before proceeding with variations that affect costs.
6. Cancellation and Delays
If you cancel the project after acceptance, you agree to pay for all work completed, materials ordered, and any restocking fees (up to 100% of the quotation value). Delays caused by you (e.g., lack of access, obstructed areas) may incur OSPC or additional charges. We are not liable for delays due to sickness, equipment failure, weather, or third-party issues.
7. Client Responsibilities
You must provide safe, unobstructed access to work areas, including moving furniture or objects (we are not responsible for damage caused by moving them). Supply water, power, and parking free of charge during works. Ensure the site complies with health and safety standards. You are responsible for maintaining any third-party subscriptions, software, or hardware required for system operation.
8. Installation and Reactive Services
Installations may involve drilling, cabling, or other activities causing minor damage to surfaces (e.g., plaster, brickwork). We accept no responsibility for repairs or restoration. Our engineers provide expert advice on equipment placement; deviations at your request may incur relocation charges. We provide training on equipment use and 12 months' reactive support post-installation (chargeable without a plan). Services are reactive: We respond to faults reported by you. Remote diagnostics may be attempted first, but on-site call-outs are chargeable under OSPC unless covered by a plan.
9. Service Plans and Support
You are under no obligation to subscribe to a service plan. Without one, all support, investigations, and call-outs are subject to OSPC. Plans, if chosen, provide agreed levels of reactive support; details are in the plan agreement. Integration of third-party systems cannot be guaranteed and may incur OSPC.
10. Warranties and Guarantees
Equipment is warranted for 12 months (parts only; labour and call-outs chargeable without a plan). Warranties do not cover damage from third-party modifications, misuse, or external factors (e.g., power surges, weather). We comply with NSI or equivalent standards where applicable for CCTV installations.
11. Limitations of Liability and Disclaimers
We are not liable for network issues, third-party outages, data loss, or interruptions caused by modifications, interference, or failures to maintain subscriptions. No liability for indirect losses (e.g., business interruption, consequential damages). Our total liability is limited to the contract value. We maintain Public Liability Insurance for peace of mind. Force majeure events (e.g., strikes, natural disasters) excuse performance delays.
12. Health, Safety, and Environmental
We adhere to health and safety policies; works may be rescheduled due to weather (e.g., no ladder work in rain/wind). Dust and debris from works are your responsibility to clean. Packaging is left for your recycling. Risk assessments and method statements available upon request (14 days' notice, subject to OSPC).
13. Data Protection and Digital Security
GDPR compliance is handled via our CRM platform (Wix.com); we are not liable for breaches therein. Passwords and logins are your responsibility to secure. Remote access may be maintained for support; request removal in writing (up to 28 days to action). We may take non-identifying photos/videos of works; opt-out available. All client information is confidential.
14. Subcontractors and Personnel
We may use authorised subcontractors (e.g., during illness/holidays). Specify preferences in advance.
15. Governing Law and Changes
These Terms are governed by English law. We may amend them without notice; check our website for updates. Disputes shall be resolved in West Sussex courts.
16. Entire Agreement
This document, along with the quotation, forms the entire agreement. Satisfaction is assumed upon full payment.
